Simple Contacts Raises $8M in Series A Funding

Simple Contacts, a NYC-based ocular telemedicine company, raised an $8m Series A financing.

The round was led by Goodwater Capital, with participation from previous investors Justin Kan, Notation Capital and Autonomous Ventures.

The company, which has raised $10m to date, intends to use the funds to grow its product and marketing teams, expand marketing efforts to new channels and bring the product to more platforms, including Web and Android.

Led by Joel Wishkovsky, founder, Simple Contacts is a telemedicine platform designed to allow patients to renew their contact lens prescriptions from home. The company provides people with a vision test and a contact lens ordering system to renew their prescription and have contacts shipped to home without going to the doctor’s office.
