Purely Elizabeth Secures $3M in Funding

Purely Elizabeth, a Boulder, CO-based natural foods company, received a $3m in funding.

301 INC, the General Mills new business development and venturing unit, made the minority investment.

The company intends to use the funds to continued new product development and further expedition of the brand’s growth in natural and conventional grocery channels.

Founded in 2009 by Elizabeth Stein, Founder and CEO, Purely Elizabeth is a natural foods company that creates nutrient-dense granola, oatmeal, muesli and cereal. All products are made with certified gluten-free, vegan, organic, and non-GMO project-verified ingredients and are free of artificial flavors, colors, sweeteners, or preservatives. The product lines include Ancient Grain, Grain-Free and Probiotic Granolas, Ancient Grain Muesli, Oatmeal and Cereal, and are available in 12, 8, and 2 oz. pouches as well as cups in retailers such as Whole Foods Market, Target and Publix, as well as at www.purelyelizabeth.com.

This summer, the company will launch a line of mushroom-powered wellness bars, available in five flavors.
