Wellthie, a NYC-based insurtech startup, raised $5m in Series A funding.
The round was led by IA Capital Group with participation from existing and new investors Aflac Ventures and insurance industry executives. In conjunction with the funding, Andy Lerner, Managing Partner of IA Capital, joined Wellthie’s Board of Directors along with Mike Battaglia, former Chief Consumer Officer at Humana.
The company will use the funds to accelerate its nationwide growth and product development.
Led by Sally Poblete, Founder & CEO, Wellthie offers broker and carrier shopping tools to simplify insurance distribution for small businesses and individuals. Bridging a broad array of medical and ancillary plans, the company provides a technology and e-commerce platform for insurance brokers to quote, guide, and enroll customers in choices and products that optimize client satisfaction and increase sales across multiple insurance lines.
To date, Wellthie has partnered with national and regional carriers across 20 states.
