Global Tech Investment Firm Silver Lake Raises $15 Billion for Latest Fund

Global tech investor Silver Lake raised $15 billion for its latest fund.

Silver Lake Partners V secured limited partner capital commitments of $14.5 billion as well as approximately $500 million from the general partner.
Investors include public and corporate pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, endowments, foundations, funds of funds, family offices, technology industry leaders and individual investors across North America, South America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

The firm now manages about $39 billion in combined assets under management and committed capital.

Led by Managing Partners Mike Bingle, Egon Durban, Ken Hao, and Greg Mondre, Silver Lake invests across the broad spectrum of technology, technology-enabled and related growth industries, ranging from semiconductors, software, cloud computing, transaction processing, and IT infrastructure to cybersecurity, e-commerce and vertical specific technology investments in the energy, healthcare, financial services and media sectors.
The current portfolio includes Alibaba Group, Ancestry, Broadcom Limited, Cast & Crew, Ctrip, Dell Technologies, Fanatics, Global Blue, GoDaddy, Red Ventures, Sabre, SoFi, SolarWinds, Symantec, and WME│IMG.
