Farmdrop, a London, UK-based platform that connects farmers and producers with local customers, raised £7m in Series A funding.
The round was led by Atomico with participation from Jon Reynolds, Alex Chesterman, Nigel Wray, and Quentin Griffiths.
The company intends to use the funds to expand its offer across the UK.
Led by Ben Pugh, CEO anf founder, Farmdrop is an online grocery platform that connects farmers and producers directly with local customers. The food is harvested to order, directly from local producers and the company delivers food the same day they receive it.
The company gives farmers 75% of the final retail price.
