Cardiac Insight Raises $4.5M in Funding

Cardiac Insight, a Kirkland, Wash.-based developer of advanced body-worn sensing & computing technologies for diagnostic testing in cardiology & respiratory disease states, raised $4.5m in funding.

Backers were not disclosed.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to develop and commercialize its Cardea SOLO™ device.

Led by Brad Harlow, CEO, Bill Willis, President, David Hadley, PhD, Robert Odell, COO, Mike Schuh, CFO, Victor Froelicher, MD, Cardiac Insight is focused on developing advanced body-worn sensing and computing technologies for diagnostic testing in cardiology, respiratory and other complex disease states.
Its lightweight disposable electrocardiogram (ECG) test Cardea SOLO™ enables diagnosis and treatment of a variety of irregular heart rhythms, including atrial fibrillation (AFib). Patient data can now be delivered in minutes to the prescribing doctor. The device has been approved for use by the FDA and is available to healthcare providers.
