BaseLaunch Accelerator Just Started Its Search for Finding Groundbreaking Healthcare Ventures

Basel, Switzerland-based BaseLaunch has just opened its application process to source groundbreaking healthcare companies for its accelerator.

The newly launched accelerator program is based in Basel, Switzerland. BaseLaunch will provide selected teams with funds and access to industry insight and infrastructure in order to integrate them into one of the most dynamic biotech and pharma ecosystems in Europe.

Backed by Johnson & Johnson Innovation, Novartis Venture Fund and Pfizer as well as other public and private partners, the program is open to healthcare innovations with a major focus on therapeutics as well as on game-changing ideas and projects in diagnostics, medtech and other related fields.

BaseLaunch is now accepting applications for the next program, which starts in September 2017 and runs in two phases through December 2018.
Projects chosen by the Selection Committee will enter phase I, where teams will solidify strategy, R&D plans and operations. The startups will work closely with the BaseLaunch Team as well as entrepreneurs-in-residence, advisors and consultants. For consultant services, financial support can be as high as CHF10k per project.

Projects accepted for phase II will receive a grant of up to CHF250k and will be offered to work in the laboratories at the Switzerland Innovation Park Basel Area. During 12 months teams will focus on reaching project-critical milestones.

Interested startups can apply here within June 30, 2017.
