Waitr, a Lake Charles, LA-based food delivery service, raised $10m in funding.
The round was led by New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate growth, expanding to more than 40 cities.
Led by Chris Meaux, CEO and founder, Waitr operates a smartphone app and restaurant platform that connects restaurants and guests.
Guests can download the app, choose a restaurant nearby, order, modify any item, add people to a group order, split the check, as well as choose delivery or carryout.
Launched in 2015, the company now has over 1,600 restaurant partners in 16 cities.
