VitalTrax Raises $150k in Seed Funding

VitalTrax, a Philadelphia, PA-based patient engagement solution provider, raised $150k in seed funding.

The Digital Health Funding Initiative, which was launched in December 2016 by Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Southeastern Pennsylvania, Independence Health Group, and Safeguard Scientifics, (NYSE: SFE), provided the financial resources.

The company intends to use the funds for the continued development of its product.

Founded in 2016 by serial entrepreneur Zikria Syed, VitalTrax provides a patient engagement solution for clinical trials comprised of a cloud based enterprise platform and a mobile application for patients.
The platform enables clinical study teams to run trials and site teams to recruit and communicate with patients during the trial.

The company’s mobile app solution, Wing, is a patient engagement tool that provides a way for patients to search for trials, apply to become a volunteer and stay involved during the trial.
