Travel Appeal, a Ca’ Tron, Treviso, Italy-based provider of a travel data analytics platform, closed €720k funding round.
Backers included three travel industry entrepreneurs. The round post money valued the company at €6m.
The company intends to use the funds to further enhance its artificial intelligence system and accelerate international growth in Europe and the US.
Founded in January 2014 by Mirko Lalli, Travel Appeal provides a platform to monitor and analyze online travel data, in real time and turn it into actionable insights for industry operators including independent travel facilities (hotels, apartments, b&bs, campings, restaurants, museums, etc.) as well as specific analysis solutions for groups, chains and destinations.
The company recently introduced an artificial intelligence powered virtual assistant (a chatbot) which allows clients to enhance and simplify the dialogue and engagement with guests and prospective travelers.
The startup has offices in H-Farm and in Florence, where over 20 people are employed.
