Refactor Capital Closes First Early Stage Venture Capital Fund, at $50M

refactor_capitalRefactor Capital, a Burlingame, CA-based early stage venture capital firm, closed its maiden fund, at $50M.

Co-founded by David Lee, former Managing Partner at SV Angel, and Zal Bilimoria, former partner at Andreessen Horowitz, Refactor Capital focuses on investing in founders solving fundamental human problems in large complex industries resistant to change including agriculture, health, and finance to name a few.

The portfolio includes Able Health, Astranis, Call9, Clover Health, Cofactor Genomics, Finova, Headspace, Kip Health, Legalist, Missionmark, Notable Labs, PathAI, Renew Health, TL Biolabs, Trace Genomics, Verge Genomics and three unannounced companies.

The web site also lists advisors Nicole Wong and Sara Sperling as well as venture partner Rick Barber as people involved in the firm.
