Odilo Raises €6M in Funding

Odilo, a Madrid, Spain-based technology and digital content company, raised €6m in funding.

Backers included existing investors Active Venture Partners and Inveready, Kibo Ventures and JME Venture Capital.

The company intends to use the funds to launch new products, accelerate technological development and continue international expansion in Europe, Latin America, North America, and Australia.

Led by Rodrigo Rodriguez, CEO, Odilo provides a SaaS platform which allows management, distribution, consumption, archiving, and preservation of all types of digital content (eBooks, audio, video, images, documents, etc.). Its marketplace allows organizations to buy digital content to offer to their users on a loan, rental, or subscription basis.
The company currently offers digital content solutions to libraries (public, private, university, school, and special interest), hospitals, governments, and businesses, along with travel, and hospitality industries from more than 40 countries. It has distribution rights to 1.3 million digital content materials from over 2,500 publishers in 42 different languages.
