Flourish, a London, UK-based online platform that allows users to create visuals and stories to understand and explain data, secured £800k (approx. $1m) in funding.
Backers included LocalGlobe and Founder Collective.
The company will use the funds to further develop its platform.
Founded in March 2016 by Duncan Clark and Robin Huston, Flourish enables businesses, newsrooms and agencies to turn spreadsheets into responsive visualisations, maps, interactives and presentations.
The company was grown out of Kiln, the data visualisation studio that has served dozens of companies, governments, newsrooms, universities and NGOs to visualise and tell stories with data.
