Flat Iron Receives £10M Minority Investment from Piper Private Equity

Flat-IronFlat Iron, a UK-based steak restaurant group, received a £10m minority investment from Piper Private Equity.

The investment saw early backers exit the business.

The company intends to use the funds to build the team and enable further units to open in and around London.

Founded by Charlie Carroll in 2012, Flat Iron currently has four London sites (Soho, Tottenham Court Road, Covent Garden and Shoreditch) with two due to open later this year in Golborne Road and King’s Cross.
Following the deal, Carroll will retain a controlling stake of the business and will remain as Managing Director.
