Farmhouse Culture Raises $6.5M in Series D Funding

FarmhouseCultureFarmhouse Culture, a Watsonville, Calif.-based probiotic rich food company, raised $6.5m in Series D funding.

The round was led by 301 INC (the business development and venturing unit at General Mills) with participation from White Road Investments and Renewal Funds.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate national expansion of its product lines.

Founded in 2008 by Kathryn Lukas and led by John Tucker, CEO, Farmhouse Culture provides probiotic-rich foods and beverages. It offers gut-healthy foods, four varieties of fermented vegetables, including beets, carrots, cauliflower, etc., the Gut Shots™ probiotic drink line, and Kraut Krisps™, a line of kraut-based snacks, which are all available in select natural and specialty retailers across the country.
