Crowdcare Raises $1.7m in Funding

crowdcareCrowdcare, Inc., a Richmond Hill, ON, Canada-based provider of cognitive digital care solutions for enterprises, raised $1.7m in funding.

The round was led by ScaleUP Ventures with participation from Brightspark Ventures and Mantella Venture Partners. As part of the funding, Kevin Kimsa, General Partner and co-founder at ScaleUP Ventures, and Mark Skapinker, Managing Partner and co-founder at Brightspark Ventures, will join the CrowdCare Board of Directors.

The company will use the funds to expand global sales, marketing and customer success teams.

Led by Ian Collins, CEO, Jeff Brunet, President and Karen Chan, Chief Technology Officer, Crowdcare provides advanced care and support solutions for connected devices. Its Wysdom software provides cognitive self-care by adding context to Natural Language Processing to deliver instant actionable answers, specifically relevant to each user. Targeting carriers internationally, the platform has recently reached a milestone of housing close to 85,000 questions and answering 60% of inbound queries from various channels, with no human intervention.
