Big Squid, a Salt Lake City, UT-based predictive analytics and machine learning software platform provider, closed a $3m seed funding round.
The round was led by Silverton Partners and Kickstart Seed Fund. In conjunction with the funding, Dalton Wright (Kickstart Seed Fund), and Mike Dodd (Silverton Partners) joined Big Squid’s Board of Directors.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate the adoption of its predictive toolkit in the enterprise.

Its predictive toolkit leverages predictive analytics to enable business users and decision makers to gain insight on future trends and projects. With the toolkit, organizations can construct predictive models, explore different “what if” scenarios and allow them to forecast key business metrics to make smart decisions.
The company has over 400 customers.
*Domo, provider of The Business Cloud – a platform for business optimization, will remain an investor in the company following the round.
