Ashton Kutcher and Guy Oseary’s Sound Ventures Adds Two

Sound Ventures, the Los Angeles, CA-based venture capital firm founded by Ashton Kutcher and Guy Oseary, has added Effie Epstein as Managing Partner and Chief Operating Officer and Maaria Bajwa as an Associate.

In this role, Epstein will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the fund, including fund allocation and strategy, investments and portfolio company value-creation.
Epstein has over a decade of multi-industry operational experience, having held leadership positions across media, financial services and technology companies such as iHeartMedia Inc., NYSE Euronext and Merrill Lynch. Most recently, she led Global Strategy at Marsh, a multi-billion dollar division of financial services firm Marsh & McLennan. Epstein earned her BA from University of Texas in Austin and her MBA from Harvard Business School.

Most recently, Bajwa was a Senior Associate with ICG Advisors, a $4B financial advisor, where she covered investment due diligence and market research for alternative investment strategies.

Epstein and Bajwa join Abe Burns, Partner, and Kelly Donnelly, Director of Portfolio Management, at the firm.

Founded in early 2015, Sound Ventures has invested in a wide range of technology companies—from enterprise to consumer, early stage to growth bringing a network of artists, marketers, innovators and public sector thought-leaders to the venture community. The portfolio includes Gusto, Neighborly and Robinhood, among others.
