WattGlass Secures Series A Financing

WattGlass, a Fayetteville, AR-based provider of an anti-reflective and anti-soiling coating for solar panels, closed a Series A funding of undisclosed amount.

The round was led by DSM Venturing.

The company intends to use the funds to commercialize the research they are conducting under the NSF and DOE grants, and to bring novel product to market.

Led by Corey Thompson, CEO, WattGlass has developed a water based anti-reflective coating for flat glass and polycarbonate applications, which utilizes water based chemistry to improve the performance of solar modules and advance the sustainability of solar materials.
The development of this technology has been supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF) Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program, the Department of Energy (DOE) SunShot program, and the Arkansas Economic Development Commission (AEDC).
