NewsWhip, a NYC- and Dublin, EIRE-based social signals platform used by media and marketing professionals, raised $6.4m in Series A funding.
The round was led by Tribal Ventures with participation from Associated Press, Social Starts, Matter.vc, The Asahi Shimbun, Enterprise Ireland, AIB Seed Capital Fund and several early angel investors.

The company’s technology scans the world’s social media activity every two minutes. It then compares this activity to millions of pieces of content, to show users what is spreading fastest and overperforming.
