Fungible Raises $32.5M in Funding

fungibleFungible Inc., a Santa Clara, CA-based provider of a full-stack solution for cloud data centers, raised $32.5m in Series A funding.

The round was co-led by Mayfield, Walden Riverwood Ventures (WRV), and Battery Ventures, with participation from Juniper Networks. In conjunction with the funding, Navin Chaddha, Mayfield partner, and Lip-Bu Tan, WRV chairman, joined Fungible’s board of directors. Dharmesh Thakker, Battery Ventures general partner, joined as a board observer.

The company will use the funds to continue to develop its first phase of products, which are expected to roll out in 2018.

Co-founded by Pradeep Sindhu, founder of Juniper Networks, and Bertrand Serlet, former Apple software engineer, Fungible is developing a data center infrastructure solution that aims to innovate the economics, security and reliability of cloud data centers.
