Eventbrite Acquires Digital Ticketing Company Ticketscript

eventbriteEventbrite, a global ticketing and event technology platform, acquired Ticketscript, an Amsterdam, The Netherlands-based self-service digital ticketing company.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed.

Led by Frans Jonker, CEO, who will join Eventbrite as GM for Continental Europe, ticketscript is a self-service digital ticketing company, whether it’s concerts, gigs, festivals, club nights, fairs, shows, exhibitions, cinema or any other kind of event, providing event organizers like Brighton Pride, Dutch Design Week, Art of Dance, Cosmopop, Truckfest, Absolute Wodka and thousands more with technology to sell more tickets and grow their business over time.
Founded in 2006, the company has offices in London, Barcelona, Berlin and Antwerp, to support our clients across Europe.

The acquisition will enable Eventbrite to become Europe’s third largest ticketing platform, and expand its global position as a live music event technology partner, especially in clubs and live show venues.
Over time, ticketscript will bring access to Eventbrite functionality – including promotional tools, reserved seating capabilities, and Organiser app – to sell more tickets and improve the event experience.

Founded in 2006, Eventbrite provides an event technology platform for organizers to manage ticket sales, promote and manage events, handle onsite operations, and analyze results across multiple sales channels. Customers include the PGA European Tour, Bits & Pretzels, WOMAD, Tough Mudder, Tribeca Film Festival, Maker Faire, and many more. The company, which has 11 offices in eight countries, is backed by Sequoia Capital, Tiger Global and T. Rowe Price.
