Zappix, a Burlington, MA-based smartphone Visual Interactive Voice Response software provider, secured a new round of financing.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The round was led by Kormeli and participation from existing shareholders.
The company intends to use the funds for expansion of its distribution channels for its Visual IVR portfolio and for product development.

The Visual IVR system features a visual representation of an Interactive Voice Response (IVR) call menu on a smartphone or computer screen to offer customers a better way to interact. During the call, customers can utilize the smartPhone display and select responses by touch from the list of options displayed on their screen from order status, tracking order, tracking returns, initiating returns etc.
The company currently provides hundreds of contact centers across insurance companies, utilities, banks, internet and mobile service providers, retailers, airlines and government agencies.
