Waud Capital Partners, a Chicago, IL-based growth-oriented lower middle-market private equity firm with $2.1 billion in assets under management, appointed Tim Lawler as Principal – Human Capital.
Based in Chicago, Mr. Lawler will manage a dedicated team focused on identifying the executives in WCP’s target niches within its two industry verticals of Healthcare Services and Business and Technology Services.
Efforts will focus on building partnerships with CEOs and Executive Chairmen to lead the Firm’s new platform investments.
The team will also help build out the management teams in new platforms, provide strategic human capital support to existing portfolio companies and lead key elements of talent management within the Firm.
The appointment of Mr. Lawler increases the Waud Capital team to 31 professionals across investments, operations, finance and operating/executive partners.
Mr. Lawler has joined Waud Capital with more than 15 years of human capital advisory and talent management experience, largely within private equity. Previously, he founded T4 Capital Talent, a human capital advisory and executive search firm serving private equity funds and their portfolio companies and also served as Managing Director and Head of Talent Management for Highland Capital Management, where he focused on building management teams and improving portfolio company performance through leadership assessment, executive search, talent development and other human capital initiatives.
Prior to Highland Capital, Mr. Lawler managed a boutique executive search firm in Chicago.
