USound a Graz, Austria-based micro speaker developer, secured €12m in growth funding.
The round was led by eQventure, an Austrian venture capital firm based in Graz, who also brought in ARM founder Hermann Hauser as an angel investor.
The company intends to use the new capital to accelerate organizational growth and to hire additional staff.
Led by CEO Ferruccio Bottoni, USound develops and produces advanced audio systems for mobile applications based on MEMS (Micro Electro Mechanical Systems) technology that enables the extreme miniaturization as well as highest levels of energy efficiency.
It is now ready for market-entry and safeguarded by numerous patents.
