Ring Raises $109M in Funding

ringRing, a Los Angeles, CA-based neighborhood security platform provider, raised $109m in funding.

The round was led by DFJ Growth, Goldman Sachs Investment Partners and Qualcomm Ventures, with participation from Sir Richard Branson, American Family Insurance, Shea Ventures and True Ventures, among others.

The company intends to use the new funds, which are a combination of Series D round and debt from Silicon Valley Bank, to continue to expand operations.

Led by Jamie Siminoff, Chief Inventor and Founder, Ring provides a suite of smart home security devices including Ring Video Doorbell, Ring Video Doorbell Pro, Ring Stick Up Cam, and the new Ring Floodlight Cam to create a “Ring of Security” around homes and communities products. The products are now now available in 15,000 retail locations.

 

The company, which has raised a total of $209m, now has nearly 1,000 team members operating in eight countries and a customer base across 100 countries.
