Kountable Receives Up To $150M Credit Line

kountableKountable, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of trade-finance to SMEs in growing economies around the world, will receive an up to $150m credit line.

An asset manager focused on private credit will provided the funding.

The infusion will enable the company to of grow as a significant player in the trade-finance market.

Led by Chris Hale, Founder and CEO, Kountable is a mobile finance platform – currently available to entrepreneurs in Rwanda – that facilitates global trade by leveraging business and social connections. The app identifies quality entrepreneurs of small & medium enterprises (SMEs) who service governments, universities, hospitals, hotels, manufacturers, NGOs and other large enterprises, by validating and qualifying purchase orders, synchronizing and overseeing logistics, and providing trade financing.

The company had previously raised $6m in early stage financing to hire development talent, scale channel capabilities, and increase its global presence through enterprise partnerships.
