Flirtey, a Reno, Nevada- and Auckland, New Zealand-based drone delivery startup, raised $16m in Series A funding.
The round was led by Menlo Ventures and Qualcomm Ventures, with participation from Lowercase Capital, Y Combinator and World Innovation Lab.
The company intends to use the funds to expand market adoption in the US, New Zealand and later, in Asia.
Led by CEO Matt Sweeny, Flirtey is an independent drone delivery service which combines technology, safety systems and logistics networks.
The company has already proven the service by delivering with drones in the U.S., New Zealand and Australia.
