Element Analytics Raises $7M in Seed Funding

ElementAnalyticsElement Analytics, a San Francisco, CA-based developer of an industrial software analytics platform, raised $7M in seed funding.

The round was led by Kleiner Perkins’ Green Growth Fund.

Co-founded in 2015 by David Mount, (Kleiner Perkins’ Green Growth Fund partner) and Sameer Kalwani, vice president of product, and led by Andy Bane, CEO, Element Analytics is delivering advanced predictive analytics capabilities to the oil and gas, chemical, utility, mining and other asset intensive industries.
The platform, which leverages the OSIsoft PI System, the enterprise data infrastructure for the Industrial Internet, leverages historical data enabling operators to look ahead and predict equipment behavior instead of reacting to causes after an occurrence of downtime or failure.

As a Microsoft Partner Network member, the solution uses Microsoft Azure and Cortana Intelligence for trusted cloud-based big data and analytics needs.
