EasyMile Receives €14M Minority Investment from Alstom

easymile_metropolia1EasyMile, a Toulouse, France-based startup specialized in providing both software powering autonomous vehicles and smart mobility solutions, received a €14m minority investment from Alstom.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate growth and support the R&D program.

In parallel, EasyMile and Alstom have signed a commercial partnership agreement aiming at joining their forces to provide integrated solutions for urban transportation. Alstom will be joining EasyMile’s board.

Founded in 2014, EasyMile is developing the EZ10 electric driverless shuttle, which provides shared transportation up to 12 passengers for the last mile operating from a transport hub to a final destination within a precinct or confined area.
Since April 2015, the EZ10 has been deployed in more than 50 sites in 14 countries in Asia, North-America, Middle-East and Europe.

The company, which is based in Toulouse, Singapore and Denver (USA), employs 60 employees.
