TeamSystem, a developer and provider of software and services, acquired a 51% stake of NetLex, a Rome, Italy-based based legaltech startup.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
Through its subsidiary Lexteam, TeamSystem acquired the shares in the company of investors LVenture Group (the venture capital firm listed on the MTA segment of the Italian Stock Exchange) and Lazio Innova and part of those of the founding partners, reaching a majority stake of 51%.
The transaction will allow TeamSystem to strengthen its position in the software segment dedicated to the market of lawyers, with the ability to integrate a cloud product and a team of developers with specialistic expertise.
Launched in late 2013 and led by Giorgio Pallocca, CEO, and Roberto Magnifico, CFO, NetLex provides lawyers with a cloud solution to manage their activity and documents.
The company currently serves thousands of lawyers in Italy.
