Numetric Raises $3.75m in Funding

numetricNumetric, a Salt Lake City, Utah-based business intelligence provider, raised $3.75m in funding.

The round was led by Epic Ventures, which committed $1.5m. In conjunction with the funding, Numetric named Greg Butterfield, who has been involved in board and advisory roles to multiple analytics companies including Omniture (acquired by Adobe for $1.8B) and InsideSales (raised more than $200M) and brings more than 25 years of executive-level experience in enterprise systems management software, as chairman of Numetric’s board.

Led by founder and CEO Robert Sweeney, Numetric provides a cloud based business intelligence platform that aims to make data exploration immediate, with no complicated query language to learn. The product operates alone or in tandem with other data management platforms, with particular specializations emerging in retail, education and transportation.
Current customers range from retail providers such as Costa Vida, Orbit Irrigation and Freshly Picked to state governments and educational institutions.
