Molecular Assemblies Raises $2.3M in Seed Financing

Backers included Agilent Technologies, Cavendish Impact Capital Fund, Eleven Two Capital, Keshif Ventures, Genomics Investment Syndicate, Newport Holdings, LP, and Alexandria Venture Investments.

The company intends to use the funds to expand the team and advance the development of its enzymatic DNA synthesis technology.

Led by Michael J. Kamdar, president and CEO, Molecular Assemblies focuses on developing an enzymatic DNA synthesis technology designed to power DNA-based products. The company’s patented enzymatic method aims to enable the reading and writing of DNA for industries including industrial synthetic biology and precision medicine, as well as emerging applications of DNA for data information storage, nanomachines and bio-based electronics.
