Codementor, a Palo Alto, CA-based on-demand marketplace for software developers, raised $1.6m in funding.
The round was led by WI Harper.
The company intends to use the funds to launch a new freelance developer platform, CodementorX.
Led by Weiting Liu, Founder and CEO, Codementor operates CodementorX, which enables companies to hire top web and mobile developers on Codementor for freelance projects. It is an invite-only network of senior engineers at Silicon Valley companies, startup CTOs from top accelerators, top Stack Overflow contributors, and experienced freelancers.
The platform offers a flexible project management system that allows clients to work alongside a dedicated project manager and the CodementorX developer. Furthermore, it offers a risk-free trial period to ensure that clients hire the most ideal developer for their project.
Codementor currently has a community of 150,000 developers with over 5,000 vetted expert developers.
