Beamr Imaging, a Tel Aviv, Israel-based provider of video optimization technology, raised $4m in funding.
Verizon Ventures made the investment.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate development of solutions featuring its patented perceptual quality measure technology.
Led by Sharon Carmel, CEO and Founder, Beamr Imaging provides OTT streaming services, cable and satellite systems, and managed IP networks with a video and image encoding and processing platform with content adaptive optimization technology.
The company’s encoder product line includes broadcast quality H.265/HEVC and H.264 codec SDK’s for x86 and ARM platforms, while supporting known operating systems like Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux, and may be deployed on most cloud services including Microsoft Azure and AWS.
Beamr also has offices in Palo Alto and St. Petersburg, Russia.
