VR Game Studio Xanadu Heights Raises Seed Funding

xanaduXanadu Heights, Inc., a San Francisco, CA-based virtual reality game studio, raised a a seed funding round of undisclosed amount.

Redcliffe Capital made the investment.

The company intends to use funds for production and launch of the first chapter of Xanadu Heights, a VR racing game, this winter.

Led by Preetam Mukherjee, founder and principal producer of the game franchise, Xanadu Heights is a a VR racing game conceptualized as a game series of three progressively complex chapters, to be released as paid downloadable content (DLC). The game, designed specifically for VR, and will be initially available for HTC Vive. The initial price for the first chapter is estimated to be $19.99, available on Steam Early Access and the HTC Viveport later this year.
