PageCloud, an Ottawa, Ontario, Canada-based developer of a website creation platform, closed its Series A financing round, bringing total funds raised to CAD$11.5m (approx. USD$8.6M).
Backers included Accomplice and trade-finance agency Export Development Canada, as well as notable angel investors from SalesForce.com, LinkedIn, and Shopify.
The company intends to use the funds to develop the platform, adding innovative tools, and scale the team.
Led by Craig Fitzpatrick, founder and CEO, PageCloud provides a browser-based website creation technology platform that enables anyone to create and edit websites, including the process of making web content mobile, with intuitive drag and drop functionality, without any coding knowledge.
Since releasing its website creation platform to the public one year ago, the company has acquired more than 15,000 customers in over 130 countries worldwide. It is available now for $24/month, which includes hosting, after a 14-day free trial at www.pagecloud.com.
