NeveXN Raises €2m in Funding

nevexnNeveXN, a Rovereto, Trento, Italy-based developer of green technology for artificial snowmaking, working with temperature above 0° Celsius, raised €2m in strategic funding.

Leitner Group made the investment via controlled company Demaclenko.

The company intends to use the proceeds from the investment to manufacture and commercialize its technology systems in three different sizes (1, 4 and 8 cubic metres per hour, as well as hire new people.

Co-founded in 2012 by Francesco Besana, Fabiano Maturi and Anna Vanzo, and incubated within Polo Meccatronica di Rovereto (Trento), NeveXN patented a machine which can produce quality snow working with temperature above 0° Celsius, (up to 15°) via thermic energy provided by renewable sources such as solar panels and biomass boiler systems, without using chemical additives.
The resulting snow can be used for outdoor and indoor events and can have other applications in such fields as food, healthcare, and construction.
