Joy Raises $4.5M in Seed Funding

joyJoy, a Seattle, WA-based provider of a wedding planning app, raised $4.5m in seed funding.

The round was co-led by Sierra Ventures and Matrix Partners with participation from Fuel Capital, Liquid 2 Ventures and angels Joe Montana, Matt Bellamy, Marc Pincus and Alexia Tsotsis.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to develop the app and expand operations.

Co-founded by Kaiwalya Kher and Vishal Joshi, Joy provides wedding services from engagement to honeymoon including a wedding website and an iOS and Android app to collect and share photos, invite and send custom notifications and messages, showcase the vendors, send and store RSVP information, and edit access to the centralized guest management tool.
