ItemMaster, a Chicago, IL-based open exchange network for certified brand content, raised $7.5m in Series A funding.
The round was led by Edison Partners with participation from Chicago Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate its expansion efforts with retailers and penetrate new product categories, such as over-the-counter pharma and beauty.
Led by Michael Murray, CEO & President, ItemMaster provides a cloud-based brand activation platform that enables manufacturers to verify, share and manage their product portfolio and custom-branded content for distribution across all channels, both online and offline.
One thousand retailers, e-tailers, agencies and mobile application developers currently access ItemMaster’s certified content from more than 5,000 brands.
