Freshdesk, a San Bruno, CA-based provider of cloud customer engagement software, raised $55M in Series F funding.
The round was led by new investor Sequoia Capital India and existing backer Accel Partners.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate the growth of its product offering as well as to expand its regional teams across the globe.
Girish Mathrubootham, founder and CEO of Freshdesk provides:
– Freshdesk, which allows organizations to support customers through email, phone, websites, forums, and social media;
– Freshservice, a cloud-based service desk and IT service management solution;
– Hotline.io, an in-app support and engagement platform for mobile-first businesses; and
– Freshsales, a CRM solution and sales system for high-velocity sales teams.
The company, which has additional offices in Berlin, Germany, London, UK, Sydney, Australia, and Chennai, India, has over 80,000 customers around the world including 3M, Honda, Bridgestone, Hugo Boss, University of Pennsylvania, Toshiba and Cisco.
