CodeFights Secures $10M in Funding

CodeFightsCodeFights, a San Francisco-based provider of a free gamified educational tool for software engineers, secured $10m in funding.

The round was led by e.ventures with participation from SV Angel, Felicis Ventures, A Capital and Granatus Ventures. In conjunction with the funding, Tom Gieselmann from e.ventures, joined CodeFights’ board along with Mathias Schilling, the co-founder and managing partner of e.ventures, and Charlie Songhurst, the former head of corporate strategy at Microsoft.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand operations.

Led by founder and CEO Tigran Sloyan, CodeFights provides a free gamified educational tool that enables software engineers to practice and improve their skills. Engineers from all around the world can join the platform to challenge themselves, learn new skills and understand how they compare against the rest of the industry. As engineers interact with coding challenges on CodeFights, the platform objectively assesses their programming skills helping players improve and be matched with job opportunities at tech companies including Uber, Dropbox, Asana and Quora.
