Biomatics Capital Partners Closes Life Sciences Venture Capital Fund, at $200M

Biomatics Capital Partners, a Seattle, WA-based new life sciences venture capital firm, has raised a $200m fund.

According to a regulatory form filed with the SEC, 38 investors participated in the offering of Biomatics Capital Partners, L.P.

The document lists Boris Nikolic, a Scientific Advisor to Bill Gates at Bill Gates Catalyst 3 (bgc3) and at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), and and Julie Sunderland, Director, Program Related Investments, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, as people related to the fund’s offering.

According to FinSMEs, the firm has already invested in AiCure, a NYC-based AI company connecting patients with a mobile solution to visually confirm medication ingestion, which raised $12.25m in Series A funding at the beginning of 2016.
