Winnie Raises over $2.25m in Funding

winnieWinnie, a San Francisco, CA-based parenting startup, raised over $2.25m in funding.

The round was led by Homebrew with participation from BBG Ventures, Ludlow Ventures, Flight Ventures, Deep Fork Capital, KPCB, #Angels, and a number of angel investors.

The company intends to use the funds to hire engineers to accelerate development of new features.

Founded in January 2016 by Sara Mauskopf (formerly Postmates, Twitter, YouTube, Google) and Anne K. Halsall (formerly Quora, Inkling, Google), Winnie provides parents and caregivers with an app to find destinations for kids anywhere they go via a database of curated and crowdsourced information on over 1 million locations.
It is currently available on iOS and on the web at http://winnielabs.com.
