Veri, a Montreal, Canada-based platform connecting social celebrities and their fans, secured a multi-million dollar seed funding.
The round was led by Montreal Alouettes owner and founding partner of McConnell Wetenhall & Co, Inc., Bob Wetenhall.
The financing will help further develop the technology behind the beta version which is set for public launch later this year.
Led by Jon Bucci, CEO, Veri provides an app that allows digital influencers meeting a certain follower criteria to engage in virtual one-on-one interactions with fans through paid bookings. For fans, the app offers the chance to get personal access to celebrities including one-on-one advice from a favorite fashionista, personal workout tips from top trainers or interactive cooking lessons from chefs.
