Starteed, a Torino, Italy-based provider of digital solutions for the crowdfunding industry, received a strategic investment from holding company Gruppo Bertoldi.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed. It is known that Gruppo Bertoldi acquired a 17% shareholding in the company from previous investors.
The proceeds will be used to expand operations abroad and conduct growth activities in partnership with Bertoldi-backed real estate equity crowdfunding platform Walliance.
Led by Claudio Bedino, Starteed provides organizations with crowdfunding/crowdcreation tech solutions to develop their campaigns and launch their own white-label platforms, which integrate management, marketing and business tools.
The company, which has raised €1.3M to date, recently partnered with TIM, TG La7 and Corriere della Sera to launch a successful campaign (with €850k raised) in order to help the population hit by August, 24, Central Italy earthquake.
