Red Sift Raises $2m in Funding

Redsift-logoRed Sift, a London, UK-based SaaS-based data startup, raised $2m in funding.

The round was led by White Star Capital and Oxford Capital with participation from Entrée Capital.

The company intends to use the funds to expand development of the platform.

Co-founded in 2015 by Rahul Powar and Randal Pinto, Red Sift provides a SaaS-based cloud micro-services platform for data which uses apps and smart Bots to allow consumers and businesses to turn disparate data into information, interact with them, automate workflows, and receive actionable insight.
Red Sift is being launched as an open platform, which allows developers to use the Red Sift SDK to create their own Sifts and share their solutions.
The SDK supports development of Sifts in a number of languages including Javascript, Python, Java, Scala, Clojure and Julia.

The product is currently in a public beta and is accessible to users via a web dashboard in the cloud or through Red Sift for Gmail, a Chrome extension available on the Google Chrome store.
