Neos, a London, UK-based insurtech startup, raised more than £1m in seed funding.
Backers included Gary Lineker, Steve Broughton, Richard King and Barry Smith, who has also joined Neos’ board of directors as chair.
The company intends to use the funds for product development in order to launch early in 2017.
Led by CEO Matt Poll, CTO Krystian Zajac and CPO Daniel Knight, Neos is advancing a new platform for homeowners to protect and insure the home getting smart technology, 24/7 emergency assistance/monitoring and comprehensive insurance (backed by Hiscox) – for the price of a traditional insurance policy plus a small monthly service charge.
