mParticle Raises $17.5M In Series B Funding

mparticle-logo LogomParticle, a NYC-based multi-screen customer data platform, closed a $17.5M Series B funding.

The round was led by new investor Bain Capital Ventures with participation from existing investor Social Capital. In conjunction with the funding, Scott Friend, who led the investment for Bain Capital Ventures, will join the mParticle Board of Directors.

The company, which has raised $37M since inception in 2013, intends to use the funds to additional multi-screen products to market and scale operations.

Led by Michael Katz, CEO and co-founder, mParticle provides a platform that unifies data collection and connects that data to analytics, marketing, and data warehousing services that brands use daily. The company has managed over 1 billion mobile users each month, capturing over $5 billion in ecommerce transactions, and processing over 250 billion API calls.

Customers include Airbnb, King, Spotify, Jet, Hulu, Foursquare, Postmates, and Chic Fil A.

mParticle currently has 45 employees in New York City and San Francisco.
