Healthtech Startup SurgiQ Raises US$235k in Funding

surgiqsurgiQ, a Genoa, Italy-based healthtech startupm raised US$235k in funding.

The round was led by Wolsey Ventures with participation from Widening S.p.A., Aitek S.p.A. and Angels For Innovation.

The company intends to use the funds to further develop its platform and accelerate international expansion.

Led by Ivan Porro, CEO and co-founder, surgiQ provides a healthtech multimodal platform managing waiting lists and supporting everyday clinical activity since the first visit within the surgery department up to the admission and beyond. The company’s solution has already handled more then 10.000 patient in the Italian healthcare market through close cooperation with Genoa-based Galliera Hospital and Rome-based Bambin Gesù Child Hospital.
It is also entering the UK market through a NHS dedicated project.
